Ella Frances Designs began as a response to limited choices in laptop bags available for women in the work world. What I wanted was a padded, stylish bag that wouldn't cost a fortune so that I could switch bags as often as I wanted without feeling wasteful. I also didn't want menswear in a laptop bag! Hence, the beginning of Ella Frances Designs, named for my highly skilled seamstress mother, Ella, and my career woman aunt, Frances.
